The Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI) launches a CALL FOR GOOD PRACTICES in the framework of the 5th International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education, Higher Education’s commitment to Sustainability: from Understanding to Action held at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) from 23 to 26 November 2010.
The 5th International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education is designed to deepen the conceptual definition of the lines of change in higher education to respond to the challenges of sustainability, as well as to identify ways for action. Both facilitate the transition between existing and new educational scenarios consistent with the vision of the sustainability paradigm to move from understanding to action.
The Call for Good Practices aims to make connections between the key ideas being examined in the Conference, with good practices taking place ´on the ground´. The selected good practices will be presented in the parallel sessions at the 5th International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education and will be published in the next Report Higher Education in the World 4.
This way, the GUNI Conference extends its scope by giving voice to individuals and institutions from around the world that have examples of good practices to share. It will facilitate dialogue between the participants and provide a space for knowledge interchange.
There will also be an on-line forum in order to debate and prepare the material that will be worked on in the Conference. The aim is to extend the scope of the GUNI Conference by giving voice to individuals and institutions from around the world.
GUNI looks for examples of good practices in the following thematic lines:
Curricula Innovation and Learning Processes

GUNI invites higher education actors to submit their proposals through the GUNI Conference website.
Please see the thematic lines and the general criteria of acceptance at: http://www.guninetwork.org/conference2010/docs/Thematic_lines.pdf
